Fundacja Rozwoju Demokracji Lokalnej (The Foundation in Support of Local Democracy) [www.frdl.org.pl] is a non-governmental, non-partisan, independent and non-profit organization. It was established in 1989 and over the years has grown to incorporate a network of 16 Regional Training Centers and four Colleges of Public Administration. Its mission is to promote the idea of civil self-governance as the fundamental form of democracy. To fulfill its mission, the Foundation supports the activity of local authorities and non-governmental organizations, thus contributing to the development and reinforcement of the civil society in the region.

Fundacja Partners Polska (Partners Poland Foundation) [www.fpp.org] was established in 1990 to promote democratic society by supporting a culture of peaceful conflict resolution and democratic decision-making. The foundation specializes in providing mediation services to serve a range of beneficiaries and address diverse issues, including neighborhood, family, business, and school-based conflicts.
